Oak Shore Commons has started taking reservations for the first phase of apartments scheduled to be completed this spring. DJ Smith, Director of Stabilized Operations for Strathmore Real Estate Group, commented "Leasing has been steady and we expect to be fully occupied once construction is completed". Oak Shore Commons will soon see new faces including Property Manager Jack Benton and several other new administrative and maintenance personnel to be hired. Standout amenities include direct access to the beach on Grand Traverse Bay at Deepwater Point, a minutes walk. from the project. Strathmore Real Estate Group specializes in Brownfield redevelopment, adaptive reuse of functionally obsolete buildings including the renovation, and repositioning of national historic landmarks. Oak Shore Commons is part of a regional adaptive reuse redevelopment that allowed the renovation and repositioning of the former Tom's Grocery and Kmart to move forward. The commercial portion of the project, comprised of approximately 130,000 square feet, was fully committed to new tenants prior to the completion of construction. New tenants include the national fulfillment center for ecommerce retailer Truly Free, Red Bull, Northwind Health & Fitness, Pickle U Pickleball Club, and Flex Self-Storage Center.
