As reported in the Traverse City Record Eagle, the group, a 501(c)(3) organization for social and community-oriented woodworking projects, has been without a permanent home since 2020. Strathmore Real Estate Group provided the group with new space four months ago at no cost, and has an agreement for a 10-year lease in the developer’s new Acme project at the former K-Mart building at a rate of $1 per year. From left, Bob Cichocky, Rick Simons, Doug Haberland and John Parker load equipment onto a truck as members of the Grand Traverse Men’s Shed move their equipment from a storage facility on Rennie School Road to their future home at the Oak Shore Commons development in Acme.
